Does someone know about an effective, natural cure against hayfever. I
tried calcium and it may have some effect, but I am still wiped out. I
would like to avoid the heavy medicines on can get in the pharmacy if it
is possible.

In the waiting room at the doctor there was a medical magazine, where the
following was said about spreading of Colds.
Most people are maybe not aware, that a very common and fool proof way to
catch a cold is through the eyes. The bacteria or virus gets on your hands
(which happens easily enough), and when you touch your eyes they enter the
tear channels, from where they spread quickly. A couple of hours later you
have a cold.
Maybe something to think about if an eye is itching and people sneeze
around you?

There`s a serious problem with that drug. A few thousand Americans have
contracted a disease called EMS, which destroys the blood. 27 have died so
far.
Despite the fact that all cases of EMS are linked to one of the five
brands of L-Tryptophane -- a produce of Showa Denko, Tokyo -- all five
brands have been removed from the American market.

------------------------------------------------------------
The common cold is not "caused" by any virus. It is a
condition of too much kapha in the body. In some cases
certain bacteria (WHO LIKE MUCUS) increase in the body and
cause complications like ear infection, etc. It the bacteria
are killed but the kapha is not reduced the disease will
re-occur, probably more severely the second time (or never
really go away) - similarly there are germs who like too much
pitta (they live in the blood) and there are germs who like
too much vata (they live in the stool - the large intestine).
To worry about the germs itself is one of the big mistakes of
western medicine.

During this Prabhupada marathon we cooked kitri by exchanging the rice for equal amount pf buckwheat. We did this because the rice is supposed to cool the body
and buckwheat heats up the body. Therefore it is good in these could climates.
Millet can alos be used with the same effect.
