I know many of you out there in COM-land are avid readers of NEWSWEEK
already (snark-snark), but if you`re not, then I`m just drawing your
attention to an article in the latest issue (came out today on the
newsstands) on homeopathy. It seems that homeopathy (long derided by
allopathy) is being vindicated by the latest research in chemistry.
Interesting.

Subject: Lecithin update
------------------------------------------------------------
So all of us up here who are trying the lecithin stuff have the same
experience. It does not bring some long lasting result.
Now this seems to have been due to the fact that we are using the wrong kind
of Lecithin. According to the lady who wrote the book where we got it from,
one has to have what is called `microdifferential` lecithin where the
molecules of lecithin are less than 1 micron large. It seems the stuff we
are taking is raw lecithin which is simply good for reducing cholesterol,
which is generally not a problem in devotees since we are not eaters of nasty
things.
So Kisori d.d. is in personal contact with the lady who wrote the book. They
are trying to work out getting some of the real stuff to try. It is
ascertained that the world`s supply of lecithin comes from Hamburg, and that
the teeny molecules stuff is quite expensive. So we are working on getting
some for a test which is not easy since the government makes it hard.
Further updates when available.

Subject: stafflococcus bacteria
------------------------------------------------------------
First of all, I would like to apologize for "jumping the gun" (perhaps), but
I think that I should write this text here so that maybe something is done
about, what I feel to be, a serious situation.
I just saw Rudra-candu dasa with the after-effects of a huge boil on his
right cheek. When talking to him, he said that the boil was HUGE and now it
was going away after being drained. Within 30 seconds my question to him was
if there might be some infection going around the cow barn. The reasons for
thinking this are as follows:
1) From what I have heard, Surabhi the cow`s milk was found to have
stafflocuccus bacteria in it. I don`t know if this was the only cow and if
any of the other cows were tested subsequently. As I mentioned in a letter to
Harikesa Maharaja about a week ago, it was decided by the powers that be here
in Almvik, that Surabhi`s milk could be turned into cheese and this "cooking
process" kills all staphlococcus bacteria. I think that the lab or some other
"authority" gave this information to the Almvik administration.
2) About two months ago, Haricandra Prabhu (cow barn and farming in-charge)
had a very big boil on his leg. After that his son, Pradyumna dasa, had a
boil on his "rear-end." Now, Rudra-candu (cow in-charge) has one. I haven`t
heard about anyone else here at Almvik having boils except one new devotee,
Bhakta Kim from Danmark.
3) Hariscandra prabhu is the "cheese-maker" and I think that he and
Rudra-candu regularly eat melted cheese on bread and probably Pradyumna does
the same. Of course they are not the only ones who eat the cheese. But, the
three of them ARE the one who have gotten boils.
Is there any relation to their working in the barn, eating the cheese made
from the "staphlococcus milk" and them having boils?
Thank you for your kind attention in this matter.

You know, this conference is for answers, not for questions. I mean to say,
that here you should put in those medicinal treatments that work. We are not
doctors and it would be unwise for us to answer these questions and then have
devotees act on the answers unless we have a very practical experience of
these things.
This should be investigated with actual authorities and then some
understanding given here. But this is a standard Almvik thing. You all
figure it out and then give the results here when the cure has taken place.
