Subject: Bronchitis Medicine

------------------------------------------------------------

As most of you know, I offered to supply Bronchitis Tea, given by Mukesh, to

those who required it. I shall offer a fuller explanation here of this for

all.

In March of 1975 I joined Srila Prabhupada`s party in Hawaii. Hawaii is

sometimes a terrible place at that time of year since the sun comes out and

it is hot like anything, and then 20 minutes later it starts raining and is

colder. In this atmosphere I got a heavy case of bronchitis, something which

never happened before.

I tried fasting for 3 weeks, but all that did was make me completely wiped

out. Then Prabhupada had them take me to the hospital and they gave me some

penicillin which made me sicker.

At one point a devotee advised me to eat a lot of chapatis and cheese from

curd. After this I got quite a lot better, but the thing was always in my

lungs and it would frequently come out again.

In 1978 Tejiyas das in Delhi, who also suffered from the same problems,

brought me to a Muslim medicine (Unani system) shop at Jamma Masjid. There

we bought some sweet paste and Joshunda tea. The sweet paste was useless,

but the Joshunda tea gave me some life again.

However, it was in 1980 that I met Mukesh in Vrindavan and he gave me some of

that tea. He bought all the ingredients in some shops in Vrindavan and we

powdered them in the kitchen. I was still taking the muslim tea at night,

and in the morning I took this Ayurvedic tea. Within 4 days the bronchitis

was almost all gone.

It would come back 2 times more, but each time this team of the Muslim tea at

night and the Mukesh tea in the morning would clear it up. I have not had it

since 4 years perhaps. This also cured Manidhara das very fast. It also

cured Suhotra Swami in 2 days. Others have experienced the same thing. It

is like a miracle.

Mukesh says you don`t need the Muslim tea. But then his tea takes about 30

days to cure one. I believe you don`t need the Muslim tea, but us westerners

like fast results due to our impatience to get on with Krsna`s service.

The Muslim tea is heavy and wipes one out for the days while taking it. It

did me anyway.

The Ayurvedic tea has no bad effect. I felt though the combination worth

it. To each his own.

How to prepare the Muslim tea. JOSHUNDA leaves are available in India shops

and are quite famous.

Put the portion of the tea, which is a mixture of all kinds of nifty little

berries, sticks and leaves, in a container. Cover that portion with just

enough water so that it all soaks up in the leaves and there is nothing left,

but enough water for soaking up fully. Then add two glasses of water on top

of that and then cook that down to one glass of water. It will make a slimy

tea that tastes not terrible without sweetening, but quite good with. Drink

while hot just before sleeping and sleep GOOOOD!

Now, before you take rest, soak one heaping tablespoon of the Mukesh tea in a

glass of water overnight (covered). In the morning, after attempting to

arise and succeeding (finally), cook that glass of water down to 1/3 of a

glass of water. All teas are cooked slowly. Then strain that and add one

teaspoon of honey. Drink that right away before doing other things in the

morning or at 6 AM. It tastes ok but it might burn the throat a little, but

it is quite tolerable.

The action of Joshunda is that it takes the mucous out of the bronchial tubes

and brings it to the surface. The Mukesh tea takes that out of the lungs and

it is passed out in the stool.

It is a knockout punch to the Bronchitis.
